while the process you give can boost your traffic, google too also contribute to your traffic either directly or indirectly. if you check your analytic you’ll see that 80% of your traffic are organic (which means through google search).

      Hey Babanature,
All the ways listed here can help you to Rank in Google, but our goal is not to rank in Google but to rank in social media.

      Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Hi Khaja, Thanks for the mention. I love being found without Google :)

I lost rank recently on one of my other sites and thank goodness for Pinterest and other websites that gave me traffic and sales still. I say “Never put anything in one basket”.

Google seems to be starting to give rank to those who spend big on Google adwords. Sad. Just like Facebook with their sponsored posts and such.

      Hi Lisa,
Agree with you completely, it`s not recommended to rely only on Google or any other single platform for traffic.
The best would be to build a list which is great way to get targeted traffic to your blog.

    Hi Khaja,

I too appreciate being included on this list and although I do get organic traffic from Google I don’t rely on it which I think just like you mentioned above with Digg is a huge mistake.

We will be hit by their updates as they come out time and time again so if people are actually referring your site to their friends isn’t that better traffic in the end anyway? I mean people will buy things from those that they know like and trust and if their friends are recommending it then it doesn’t get much better then that.

Thanks for including all the different ways to get traffic Khaja and no one should ever just rely on Google.

Have a great weekend and I appreciate the mention.

      Hi Adrienne,
      My pleasure.
Blogging is more like a business for most us, and few it`s passion. Why should we crash that because someone updated their way of working?
Google who initially supported affiliate links now don`t allow it.
One of main reason why Google adwords came to light is because of affiliate marketers, but after that it deleting hundreds of them a time.
      This is not fair.

      Thanks for commenting.
      Enjoy your weekend.

For point no 6, instead of Aweber, you should write it as email marketing. I think this is the best method for long term. Successful blogger like Johnchow has hundred thousands of subscribers and this is great. You don’t have to rely on all other third party services or platform such as Twitter, FB and etc. One day, if they die (i hope not), you still have your email list which can be import everywhere.

      Hi Rudd,
You`re right, it should be email marketing, I don`t want to leave bloggers in dilemma – “which email marketing shall we use now?”
      So I mentioned Aweber.
I strongly agree that we should grow network along our blog and not on other sites.
      Thanks for sharing your views.
